This Week’s Scheduled MODIS Activities Not Completed:

None

Upcoming MODIS Events:

February calibrations: bimonthly PV Ecal.

Maneuvers:

The next MODIS Lunar calibration will be scheduled for February 21, 2003 (2003/052), with data collection from 01:08:08 to 01:14:38 (GMT). The roll angle will be -10.3622 degrees.

The Terra Deep Space Calibration Maneuvers are now being planned for March 26th, 2003 (without the moon in the instruments fields of view) and April 14th, 2003 (with the moon in the spacecraft orbit plane). Details of these maneuvers will be provided closer to the event dates.

MODIS Anomalies:

MODIS data loss (See Non-MODIS Significant Events).

General Instrument Comments:

MODIS is in Science Mode, using all A-side components, but cross-strapped to Formatter B, with the blackbody maintained at 290K.

MODIS Telemetry Trends:

Nominal telemetry tracking is taking place. The intermediate stage radiative cooler temperature that had been increasing has now leveled off. The cooler temperatures and focal plane heater power will continue to be monitored with the expected solar beta angle changes.

Non-MODIS Significant Events:

The EMOS mission status webpage (which includes instrument data loss records) can be found at the following URL. Note that a password is now required to access the EOS mission links web pages. There are directions at the URL below for how to obtain a username/password.
